Hello everyone,
I hope your week is treating you well so far! I'm on a couple of deadlines this week, so rather than a longer reflection from me, I thought I'd recommend some books. Below are novels I've read recently that I would recommend if you're looking for easy, trauma-free reads.
Counterfeit
by Kirstin Chen
If you're after a SCAMMY story this is for you. This one is about unsuspecting women running a high-level counterfeit operation. It has an underlying message about what the ideal victim looks like. And, of course, there's a twist.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo
by Taylor Jenkins Reid
This book achieves a lot - a look at the culture of celebrity, queerness, and the lives we share publically vs the ones we live in real life. And in many ways, it is about survival, the parts of ourselves we might be willing to forgo in order to be deemed more palatable.
Honey & Spice
by Bolu Babalola
A university set rom-com filled with horny twenty-somethings who think they have it all figured out. It's fun, flirty, and intense because it's about first love.
